STOCK RULES:</u>
:bulletblue:  Since this is my regular gallery as well as where I am going to upload my stock: DO NOT MANIPULATE ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T HAVE "STOCK"</i></u> IN THE DEVIATION TITLE.
:bulletblue:  Please send me a link of your deviation.  I would very much like to see what everyone has done.  By note, underneath the dev, on my front page, I really am not that picky.
:bulletblue:  For deviantART only please.  If you truly feel the desire to use my stock outside of dA, please contact me and we can hopefully work it out.
:bulletblue:  Use for contests inside of deviantART.
:bulletblue:  Do NOT use for contests outside of deviantART.
:bulletblue:  Do NOT use for Prints, on dA or otherwise.  Frankly, my work isn't good enough quality for that.
:bulletblue:  If you want to use for avatars or journals, so long as they are for deviantART, be my guest.

GOING TO EUROPE</u>

This trip is not going to be as epic as my last to Europe.  I'm only going for a week and I lose a day flying into the sunrise.  I'm doing my Gramma's favourite World War I tour, so the only places that I am really visiting that are not near or related to that era are Amsterdam and Brussels.  I know what I would like to see in Amsterdam, but does anyone know what's interesting to see in Brussels that isn't the peeing statue?

Anyway, I will be taking many photos, which should be of a WAY higher quality then my last trip to Europe.  I won't be getting to Paris, so I have no oppourtunity to get more photos of the awesomeness that is Sainte-Chapelle.  Hopefully the places I visit will be amazing and I can come back with some truly awesome photos.  Not that I have been very good about posting up my awesome photos from last summer…  Sorry about that.

NEW LENS</u>

Since I had money donated to me specifically for a lens and because of my upcoming trip, I am now a proud owner of Sigma AF 10-20mm f/4 – 5.6 EX D HSM Wide Angle Zoom Lens.  It was WAY less of a hassle to buy this then it was my camera kit (see previous journal entry for all the gory details) and I am happy to report that I got what I wanted the first time with no mishaps, exchanges or wanting to vomit.  It helped that it wasn't nearly as expensive and I had my dad there as moral support.

It is a really awesome lens. It wasn't that expensive either, compared to the others I was looking at.

They would be great for your panos. Be sure to get a zoom on it, makes all the difference in the world.

Awesome lens! Have fun making Europe look distorted.

Really, the distortion is minimal. It's not a fisheye.

Whaaaat. Its linear distortion is fantastic! How exaggerated angles become and whatnot. In my opinion, anyway.

Completely agree that it exaggerates the angles but it itsn't anywhere near what a fisheye lens is. Or at least that super expensive Nikon fisheye, at very least.
